At VMS, quality assurance means two things. First, we take pride in satisfying our customers by delivering products and services that meet their specified requirements at the agreed price within schedule. Secondly, the company and its associates commit to continuously improve the processes by which we provide our products and services, so that our work meets requirements and is done right the first time.
With regard to client deliverables, VMS' long-standing policy is that each deliverable must be reviewed by a second associate before being delivered to the client. This applies to deliverables prepared by associates, subcontractors, consultants as well as the Project Manager (PM). The review will be conducted by the PM or another qualified staff member to evaluate technical accuracy in the facts, reasonableness and clarity in the assumptions.
To ensure that quality performance is achieved, we rely on the integrity of each associate, insist that our managers meet contractual requirements, place responsibility for quality with those who do the work, and undertake to assure through a system of independent technical and management reviews and continual quality improvement that we meet our commitments. In addition, we recognize that customer appraisal of our performance is critically important to our overall reputation and that our customers' satisfaction is the key factor in our overall success so, during the life of the project, we invite our clients to tell us about our performance so we can serve them better.
